Part Category: Cables

  • R530 8 Bay LFF MB Signal Cable

R530 8 Bay LFF MB Signal Cable

This is the signal cable for the Dell PowerEdge R530 8 Bay LFF server. It connects the backplane to the motherboard.

    Notes

    • The 0PD7P8 is a 16-pin backplane signal cable used to connect the motherboard to the storage backplane.
    • It is documented for both the PowerEdge R520 and R530, including the 8-drive configurations.
    • The cable is approximately 12.5 inches (0.32 m) long.
    • 0PD7P8 and PD7P8 are the same Dell part number, with the leading zero omitted in many listings.
    • This is a signal/I²C cable, not the primary SAS data cable connecting the RAID controller to the drives. It carries communication between the system board and backplane.
    • The R530 uses this cable as part of the 8-bay backplane connection.
  • R530 Control Panel Cable

    R530 Control Panel Cable

This is the front control panel cable for the Dell PowerEdge R530. It connects the front control panel to the motherboard.

    Notes:

    • Connects the front control panel to the system motherboard on Dell PowerEdge R520/R530 servers.
    • Used with the R520/R530 front control panel assembly.
    • 0VCXFV and VCXFV are the same Dell part number, with the leading zero omitted in some listings.
    • On R530 systems, it is used with the 0CDVG8 front control panel and 00FTN6 front USB cable in configurations equipped with the VGA/USB front panel.
    • This is a signal/control cable, not a power cable.
  • R640 10 Bay BP Signal Cable

R640 10 Bay BP Signal Cable

Signal cable that connects the backplane to the motherboard on the Dell PowerEdge R640 10 Bay server.

    Notes:

    • Dell PowerEdge R640 10-SFF
    • Backplane signal cable
    • Connects the system board to the backplane expander
    • Connects MB_SIG_1 on the motherboard to EXP on the expander
    • 1 × 16-pin connector to 1 × 16-pin connector
    • Approximately 43 cm long
    • Used with the 10 × 2.5-inch SFF drive configuration
    • Dell P/N: 059G4K
    • Alternate P/N: 59G4K
    • Not to be confused with the R640 backplane power cables; this is a signal/data cable.

  • R730 8 Bay SFF BP Power Cable 0123W8

R730 8 Bay SFF BP Power Cable 0123W8

This is the power cable that attaches from the backplane to the motherboard on a Dell Poweredge R730 8 Bay SFF server.

    Notes

    • 8-pin backplane power cable assembly.
    • Approximately 9 inches (23 cm) in length.
    • Power cable only; it does not carry SAS/SATA data or backplane control signals. Those functions are handled by separate RAID and signal cables.
    • Typically used alongside the RAID cable (such as 0F037K) and a separate backplane signal cable (such as 0TRFPV, depending on the server configuration).
    • Dell DP/N: 0123W8 (alternate part number 123W8).

  • R730 8 Bay SFF Mini Mono Cable 0F037K

R730 8 Bay SFF Mini Mono Cable 0F037K

This is the SAS storage cable for the R730 8 Bay SFF server. One end connects to the backplane and the other end routes through the right side channel of the server where it terminates at one of Dells mini mono RAID or HBA controllers.

    Notes:

    • Dual Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8643) cable assembly.
    • Used with Dell PERC Mini controllers including H330 Mini, H730 Mini, and H730P Mini.
    • Commonly found in Dell PowerEdge R730 and R730xd systems with front SAS/SATA backplanes.
    • Connects the RAID controller directly to the front drive backplane, carrying data for up to eight front drives on standard 8-bay configurations.
    • Uses SFF-8643 (Mini-SAS HD) connectors on both ends.
    • Dell DP/N: 0F037K (also written as F037K).
