This is an internal Slim-SAS cable designed for the Dell PowerEdge R750 24 bay server. It’s a short run of cable to connect a front RAID/HBA controller to the backplane.
One end of the cable is labeled FCTRL_B. This end plugs into your RAID or HBA controller.
The other end is labeled EXP_DST_SB1 (Expander Destination Sideband 1) and plugs into the backplane.
This is the mounting bracket or sometimes called baffle for various RAID and HBA controllers designed for the front position. Compatible with the R750 24 Bay and VxRail V670F 24 bay servers. In the photo is an HBA 355i controller but other controllers can be mounted in the bracket as well.
HBA controller compatible with a wide range of Dell 15 gen and some 16 gen servers. Please note that while compatible with many servers, the mounting bracket and required cables will be different. In the photo above you will see the card attached to a bracket designed for the R750 24 Bay chassis. Other servers will have a different mounting bracket.
Main backplane for the Dell PowerEdge R740 8 Bay SFF server. It connects to the motherboard with the following signal and power cables.
PCIe RAID cable for R740 8 Bay SFF server. This cable will route from the backplane to a PCIe RAID controller installed in one of the risers.
