R740xd 12B Rear Flex Bay SAS Cable 0674FN
This is the SAS cable for the rear flex bay on the R740xd 12 Bay server. As noted in the part page for the 24 Bay cable, this cable is specific to the 12 bay chassis. A 24 bay cable looks similar but will not work due to differences in cable pinouts and backplane design. The proper cable for the 12 Bay server will be labeled A2 on one end. Match it up with A2 on the backplane.

R740xd 24B Rear Flex Bay SAS Cable 0PG7T4
This is the cable that routes from the rear flex bay to the front backplane. Note – the 12 bay and 24 bay R740xd server chassis use different cables. The one you need for the 24 bay server is labeled B1 on the backplane end. Different cables are used due to differences in backplane design. The wrong cable may fit but the server will display errors.
