    The following hard drive converter adapts a regular 2.5″ SFF drive to 3.5″ LFF drive bay. If you have a large form factor server you can use these converters so your SFF drives will work. Drives are first installed into the converter and then the converter installs into an LFF caddy/drive sled.

    This is the fan for the Dell PowerEdge R540. Unlike many other cooling systems these fans are not hot swappable. They attach to the motherboard via cable. They install into permanent slots on the motherbaord and have no external assembly cage as seen in servers like the R740.

    This is the metal cage for the main riser assembly. The other crucial piece is the board itself which is a separate part number and not included with the main cage.

    This board interfaces with the power supplies and distributes power to the motherboard and other components. It is screwed into the chassis with a single screw located on the bottom part of the chassis. You’ll see notches on the board that slot into the corresponding hooks to keep it in place.
