    The LSI MegaRAID SAS 9361-4i is a PCIe 3.0 x8 hardware RAID controller featuring a single internal SFF-8643 Mini-SAS HD connector that supports up to four 12 Gb/s SAS or 6 Gb/s SATA drives. Powered by the LSI SAS3108 RAID-on-Chip with 1 GB of DDR3 cache, it supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60, making it well suited for enterprise servers, virtualization hosts, and database applications. Additional drives can be connected through SAS expanders, supporting up to 128 devices.

    Notes

    • Dual-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter utilizing the Intel X540 controller.
    • Provides two RJ45 10GBASE-T network ports supporting 100Mb, 1Gb, and 10Gb Ethernet connections.
    • Uses the HPE FlexibleLOM form factor and installs into a compatible FlexibleLOM slot rather than a standard PCIe slot.
    • Requires Category 6 (or better) twisted-pair cabling for 10GbE operation.
    • Commonly deployed for virtualization, software-defined storage, backup networks, and high-bandwidth server connectivity.
    • Compatible with numerous HPE ProLiant Gen8 and Gen9 servers, including the DL360 Gen9, DL380 Gen9, DL560 Gen9, and DL580 Gen9.

    This is another variation of the riser found in HP DL 380 G10 servers. This one has an M.2 slot.

    Notes

    • PCIe riser board providing two PCIe x8 slots and one PCIe x16 slot, with integrated support for an M.2 storage module.
    • Designed for use in HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers and is also used in several Gen10 platform variants, including select SimpliVity and Azure Stack systems.
    • Enables installation of PCIe expansion cards such as network adapters, Fibre Channel HBAs, RAID controllers, SAS controllers, NVMe adapters, and an M.2 boot device (with compatible hardware).
    • PCIe slot availability depends on the server configuration. Some slots and features require a second processor to be installed before they become operational.
    • Compatible expansion cards and M.2 devices must meet the server’s physical, power, thermal, and firmware requirements.

    This is one variation of riser seen in HP DL 380 G10 servers.

    Notes

    • PCIe riser board providing one PCIe x16 slot and two PCIe x8 slots for expansion cards.
    • Designed for use in HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers and is also used in certain DL385 Gen10 and DL560 Gen10 configurations.
    • Installs into the server’s riser connector to add support for additional PCIe adapters such as network adapters, Fibre Channel HBAs, RAID controllers, SAS controllers, NVMe adapters, and other expansion cards.
    • PCIe slot availability depends on the server chassis, installed processors, and overall system configuration. Some slots may require a second processor to be installed before they become operational.
    • Compatible expansion cards must meet the server’s physical, power, and thermal requirements.
    • HPE option kit 873209-B21 includes this riser board as its primary component.

    This is a rear flex bay that supports 2 small form factor drives. This part was observed in an HP DL 380 G10 server.

    Notes

    • Adds two additional 2.5-inch Small Form Factor (SFF) drive bays to supported server configurations.
    • Supports SAS, SATA, and NVMe drives when paired with the appropriate backplane, controller, and cabling.
    • Designed for use with HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 and HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 servers.
    • This is a Premium HDD Cage Kit and may include the drive cage, backplane, and mounting hardware depending on the kit version. Verify the contents before purchasing, as individual components may also be sold separately.
    • NVMe functionality requires compatible system hardware, including the appropriate backplane, cables, PCIe enablement kit (if applicable), and BIOS support.
    • Commonly used to expand storage capacity or enable additional boot, cache, or data drives in existing server configurations.

    In most cases this flex bay will attach directly to port 9 on the following SAS expander as the the 380 G10 has no SAS expander built into the backplane.
