These are what we call the octopus cable. It’s a set of Mini SAS cables that connect Bays 1 and 2 to the SAS expander on the DL 380 24 Bay G10 server. One end of the cable attaches to Bays 2 and 3 on the backplane and the other end plugs into the SAS expander in ports 5, 6, 7, and 8.
