    This board interfaces with the power supplies and distributes power to the motherboard and other components. It is screwed into the chassis with a single screw located on the bottom part of the chassis. You’ll see notches on the board that slot into the corresponding hooks to keep it in place.

    In the absence of the rear riser you can install the rear filler. Its purpose is to maintain proper air flow and to prevent junk from entering into the server. If you do not have any PCIe cards installed it is recommended to install either the rear riser with a PCIe blank or to use this filler.

    This is the internal riser for the Dell PowerEdge R440 and R540 servers. In general, the internal riser is used for a PCIe RAID controller. You will notice the RAID cable has just enough length to reach this riser on these models of servers.
