  • R740 8 Bay LFF Onboard SATA Cables 0JHVNC

R740 8 Bay LFF Onboard SATA Cables 0JHVNC

This is the cable to connect the backplane to the onboard SATA controller on the R740 8 Bay LFF chassis. Keep in mind you will only be able to use SATA drives with cables like this. If you want to use SAS drives you’ll need this cable (or a PERC cable) as well as a proper RAID/HBA controller.

    Installation:

One end of the cable attaches to the backplane. The other end plugs into the onboard SATA ports located right where the PERC mini mono raid controller would install:

  • R740 8 Bay LFF PCIe RAID Cable 09MHYN

R740 8 Bay LFF PCIe RAID Cable 09MHYN

  • R740xd NVME Cable 0RGRK6

    R740xd NVME Cable 0RGRK6

This is one set of NVME cables for the R740xd 24 bay server. It plugs into ports A0 and B0 on the backplane and terminates at an NVME controller located in the x16 slot on riser 1. The cable provides the last 4 bays with NVME support. It has just enough length to reach the first riser. If you want to enable more NVME ports that will require 2 other sets of cables, both of which are varying lengths and are their own part numbers.

Compatible with the R740xd 24 Bay chassis.

  • R740xd Rear Filler 04D2N2

    R740xd Rear Filler 04D2N2

This is the rear PCIe filler for the R740 and R740xd servers. It takes the place of risers 2 and 3. In the absence of these risers you install this blank so there’s not a gaping hole in the rear of your server. This prevents junk from entering the server and maintains correct air flow throughout the chassis.

    Installation:

The filler installs in the rear of the chassis.
